• Smart Home Control: Nice/ELAN
• Multi-Room Audio: Six-zone Klipsch architectural audio
• Home Cinema: Dedicated 5.1 surround-sound system
• AV Receiver: Denon
• Key Features: Multi-room music, surround sound, centralized control, and discreet AV integration

The Project Brief

The homeowner wanted a premium audio-visual solution that would deliver high-quality sound throughout the property without compromising the interior design. The system also needed to make it simple to manage music, television audio, and home cinema entertainment from a unified control interface.

The main objectives were to:

• Install discreet architectural speakers across six separate audio zones.
• Create an immersive 5.1 surround-sound experience for films, sports, and gaming.
• Bring compatible audio and cinema controls together through Nice/ELAN.
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered appearance with concealed wiring and AV components.
• Provide a flexible foundation for potential future smart home integrations.

The Solution: Integrated Multi-Room Audio and Home Cinema

AME Electrical Smart Homes designed an integrated audiovisual setup tailored to the property’s layout and the homeowner’s entertainment needs. The solution combines independent audio zones, a dedicated cinema system, and centralized control.

1. Six-Zone Multi-Room Audio with Klipsch Architectural Speakers

Klipsch architectural speakers were installed across six audio zones to provide a discreet listening experience throughout the home. The flush-mounted design helps the speakers blend into the surrounding interiors.

• Flexible Audio Distribution: Compatible sources can be routed to individual zones or grouped areas, depending on the system configuration.
• Independent Zone Control: Users can manage available audio sources and adjust volume for different areas.
• Discreet Installation: Architectural speakers and flush-mounted grilles help maintain a clean, minimalist finish.
• Whole-Home Entertainment: The multi-zone arrangement supports music listening across the property’s designated living spaces.

2. Dedicated 5.1 Surround-Sound Home Cinema

A dedicated home cinema system was installed around a Denon AV receiver, creating a 5.1 surround-sound environment for films, television, sports, and gaming.

• Immersive Audio: A configured surround-sound speaker layout creates a more engaging listening experience.
• Clear Dialogue and Full Sound: The system is designed to deliver balanced audio across compatible entertainment sources.
• Flexible Entertainment: The cinema setup supports a range of viewing and listening activities.
• Neat Cable Management: Wiring and AV equipment were arranged to support a tidy media-room appearance.

3. Centralized Control with Nice/ELAN

The Nice/ELAN smart home platform provides a unified way to control compatible functions within the multi-room audio and home cinema installation. This reduces the need to switch between separate control interfaces for everyday entertainment.

• Centralized Operation: Manage supported audio sources, volume, and cinema functions through the configured control interface.
• Convenient Access: Compatible apps and smart remotes provide convenient control of integrated equipment.
• Custom Scenes: Configured one-touch routines can simplify common activities such as starting a movie session.
• Integrated Experience: Compatible devices operate together within a coordinated audiovisual system.

For example, a configured “Movie Night” scene can switch the AV system to the appropriate cinema source and coordinate compatible lighting controls where these are integrated.
