Project Overview
AME Electrical Smart Homes was appointed to design, install, and commission a complete
smart home automation system for a bespoke, architect-designed family
residence in Maghera, Mid Ulster.
The homeowner, a practising architect, required a modern electrical installation
that would complement the clean, contemporary aesthetics of the property while
delivering exceptional functionality, long-term reliability, and future-proofing.
The brief called for a unified platform bringing together intelligent lighting,
multi-room audio, smart heating control, robust networking, and home automation.

Our Solution

decentralised architecture, and manufacturer independence. Combining KNX with
Nice/Elan provided a robust, integrated control system with advanced automation
capabilities and a sleek, user-friendly graphical interface.
Flush-mounted, minimalist KNX keypads replaced multiple traditional wall switches,
helping preserve the clean interior design. Strategically positioned touchscreens
provide convenient access to lighting scenes, audio selection, and temperature

Heatmiser controls support individual heating zones, while the distributed audio
system delivers entertainment across three independent zones. A dedicated 5.1
