Project Overview

Rosie’s Bar required a modern lighting control solution as part of the development
of a new function room and the refurbishment of associated public areas. The
objective was to simplify lighting operation for staff while creating flexible
lighting scenes suitable for a wide range of events.

The Challenge

Staff needed a simple way to instantly select pre-programmed lighting scenes
without requiring technical knowledge. Additionally, Rosie’s Bar wanted to improve
energy efficiency in non-occupied areas, such as corridors and rest facilities.

Our Solution

AME Electrical Smart Homes designed and commissioned a complete KNX lighting
control system, providing centralised control of the new function room and
surrounding circulation spaces.

Pre-programmed scenes were created to suit different functions and events,
allowing staff to alter the atmosphere of the venue at the touch of a button
using strategically located Zennio KNX keypads.

To maximise energy efficiency, Theben movement sensors were
installed in corridors and rest areas. These automatically activate lighting when
occupancy is detected and turn lights off when spaces are vacant, helping to
significantly reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

Dedicated central enclosures were installed to house the core
KNX control infrastructure from Theben and Jung,
ensuring a tidy, secure, and easily serviceable installation.
